Sue Allen was a highlight of the trip for me She was absolutely fantastic and I hated for the day with her to end. We will be recommending you to our friends for sure.
My wife and I hosted a “Mayflower Heritage Tour” with Reformation Tours in May 2019. We found the tour to be absolutely delightful! From historic sites to the modern London Eye, every day held treasures to remember. Our tour manger took wonderful care of us all, the local guides were always knowledgeable and interesting, our accommodations were above standard, and the dining was a delicious and generous fare. Reformation Tours deserves 5 stars as a Mayflower 400 endorsed travel agency.
We had a wonderful journey with all and learned some amazing things about the Pilgrims.
Thank you again for all your hard work on the trip. Both Guides at Southampton had an amazing amount of knowledge to share with the group. To be welcomed to Gloucester Cathedral by the Star Spangled Banner was magnificent as was the welcome dinner with the Mayor and Staff. I don’t think there could be a better guide to tell the Pilgrim story than Sue Allan. She really brings history to life. The Lincoln Cathedral and Castle were favorite sites.
We wanted to thank you for everything. We can’t express how much this trip meant to us as parents to share this with the boys. This trip was very exciting and memorable for us and our family. We loved to learn about our family history and see so many different sights and landmarks. What great memories for sure.
The schedule was packed but not too demanding. The accommodations were good to excellent.
The Mayflower Heritage Tour by Reformation Tours was a great experience with 22 descendants of Mayflower passengers. They came from CA, WA, AZ, MN, VT, NC, TN, FL, NB, & Canada. Many trace their lineage back to Mayflower passenger George Soule. Others to William Brewster, Thomas Rogers, John Alden, Mullins, William Bradford, Samuel Fuller, and John Howland. Several have multiple Mayflower connections. We saw many sites in England and Netherlands that have Pilgrim history. Saw Windsor Castle from the outside, toured Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, had Gin & Tonic at the Plymouth Gin Distillery and rode the London Eye. Gorgeous tulip gardens in Holland. Several ferry and river boat cruises. Stood where the Pilgrims stood and where they ate and drank. Sites were well chosen and the schedule was quite easy, for the most part. Juerg was a very good and delightful tour director. Local guide Sue Allen was exceptionally skilled and it was great to have her for so much of the one day.
We were treated to tea at the Royal Castle Hotel! The town of Dartmouth is planning on hanging 4000 flags made by people from around the world in 2020. Among those will be the ones made by Chris, Laurel, Marilee and Janice!
They accommodated my individual needs very professionally. I was surprised at the thorough research done to bring the past to each of us in a personal way.
